Mitología de la Tangente is a project developed using a pinhole camera where I have found myself enticed to portray the passing of the ants, creating a path of honey. Allowing the ants to be the writers of the story. A seemingly unimportant everyday moment that has led me to ponder in many directions. I spent hours, days, weeks devoted to this observation, and this time gave way to multiple questions, ideas and internal dialogues.
Through this photographic series I contemplate on the fragile quality of that which is permanent. I observe memory and what’s forgotten. The edges. The human dynamics in this wheel of time which Buddhism deems infinite.
What we see and what we don’t see, is it really there?
Does it exist?
It is not you, it’s me…
The never ending search for our roots, understanding where I come from. What time is it? Is it today?
“The world is full of ruins, of empires that believed they were forever.”
